CONTINUING CONSTRUCTION
Omni Fiber - New Fiber Installation
Project Description: Omni Fiber is working to bring high-speed fiber internet to Midland. This project will begin at the end of March 2025 and has an estimated completion date of December 2026.
Residents can expect so see flags from MISS DIG marking underground utilities, as well as equipment and crews working in outlawns. Temporary lane closures in the street may be possible. Disturbed outlawns will be restored once underground utility activity has been completed.

Indian & Buttles (MDOT)
Project Description: The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT), in partnership with the City, will relocate overhead power and communication utilities from power poles to underground conduits, along Buttles St. from Jerome St. to State St. Construction is expected to begin August 25, 2025 and last until March 31, 2026.
This work is being completed in preparation for MDOT�s reconstruction of Indian St. & Buttles St., expected to begin in the spring of 2026. Additional details will be communicated when they become available.Detours/Traffic Control: There will be a lane closure on Buttles from 400ft west of Jerome St. through State St., along with intermittent closures of Ashman, McDonald, Rodd, Townsend, Cronkright, George and State Streets. The sidewalk on the south side of Buttles St. will be closed to pedestrian traffic throughout this project, with pedestrian traffic detoured to the north side of Buttles St. Project Status:Est. Completion Date: March 31, 2026
2025 PERRINE ROAD RECONSTRUCTION & WATER MAIN
Project Description: This project is for the street reconstruction on Perrine Road from Airport Road to E. Letts Road, and water main installation on Perrine Road from Letts Street north to Winding Creek Drive. The project scope includes, but is not limited to crushing & shaping of bituminous pavement, removal/replacement of concrete curb, sidewalk ramps and driveway approaches & placement of new bituminous pavement and installation of water main.Detours/Traffic Control: Northbound traffic shall remain open for the duration of construction. Southbound traffic detoured via Dublin Rd., please follow posted detour.Project Status: Restoration in progress.Est. Completion Date:November 28, 2025
